On the principle of an ABC.... : In the form of an open dialogue with the public, this programme of gatherings launched in 2006 explored the museum's collections and the vocabulary of contemporary art.
The disappearance ... of the action and the artist.
The action has become substance, because disappearance also implies appearance.
The artist no longer exists; rather something of him has taken shape.
In the beginning, a work of art clings to the comings and goings that exist between the gesture and its trace. Between the what is in the mind of an artist and its incarnation.
The works of Christine Crozat retain a clear imprint of this no-longer-visible gesture, and their substance resembles a caress on the surface of the support.
